Who is Midland Funding?

Midland Funding LLC is one of the nation’s largest buyers of unpaid debt. Midland Funding purchases accounts with an unpaid balance for a fraction of the balance, usually where consumers have gone at least 180 days without making a payment, or paid less than the minimum monthly payment due. Midland Funding LLC works with its affiliate, Midland Credit Management (MCM), to service accounts.

Are they legitimate?

Since Midland Funding is a company that handles an extremely high-volume of collection accounts, it has been subject to repeated FDCPA claims over the years due to questionable collection practices involving abuse, deceptive conduct and unfair practices.

However, just because Midland Funding is not your original creditor and has gotten in trouble for violating the FDCPA before, doesn’t mean you should simply ignore their collection attempts. Whether by hiring law firms such as Cohen & Slamowitz or Forster & Garbus, or filing a lawsuit using their own internal legal department, this agency can still obtain judgments against you if you ignore legal documents.  This gives Midland Funding full legal authority to collect the full amount of the original debt, plus interest, attorney fees, etc.  A  judgment also allows Midland Funding to garnish wages, seize bank accounts, and seize other assets in certain circumstances.

How can we help?

Graham & Borgese can raise any legal defenses that you may have, prevent a default judgment from being entered against you and/or negotiate a reasonable settlement with flexible monthly payments so you can protect your credit and save money.
