Are they legitimate? Complaints about this agency flood the internet and range from excessive telephone calls to the use of threatening and/or abusive language. Probably the most widely publicized claims involving Forster & Garbus stem back to around 2007, a time in which the New York Attorney General brought a claim against this lawsuit-mill alleging that they intentionally used process servers who did not give notice to the people being sued.  The end result?  Of the 30,000-plus lawsuits filed by Forster & Garbus at the time, less than 10% of the people sued actually responded to the claims - meaning that over 90% of those people had default judgments entered against them without their knowledge.  The Attorney General’s office said that Forster & Garbus should have known from looking at the reports submitted by the process server that they lied about their efforts to serve the notices because (among other things) the reports had them serving process in multiple places at the same exact time. The man who was hired to serve the many notices was ultimately arrested, and Forster and Garbus eventually settled the claims against them with the Attorney General in 2010, though many people today continue to claim that they have unknowingly had default judgments entered against them.

How can we help? Our law firm battles Forster & Garbus on a routine basis and regularly obtains outstanding results for our clients.  We can help save you money, establish manageable payment plans that set you up for success and even have default judgments vacated were appropriate.

Aren't lawyers expensive? Our law firm only represents debtors - that means we understand that the people needing our help do not have much disposable income (if any at all).  That is why our consultations are free and we only charge a low flat rate for our services - i.e., no contingency fees.  When you consider that other law firms and debt settlement companies often charge larger flat fees and then contingent rates, it becomes abundantly clear that our law firm is the best fit for your budget and debt settlement goals.
